Dr. Josephine Mazzoli, Marriage and Family Therapist

   Dr. Josephine Mazzoli is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes
in working with couples and families with older children and adolescents. Jo sees
individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss as well as facing
career & parenting issues.   She also works with people with chronic illness.
   Dr. Mazzoli leads an ongoing women’s group (e.g. relationship issues, self-esteem,
depression). In the past she facilitated a group for women with breast cancer and
their families funded by the Las Vegas Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
   Josephine supervises both MFT Interns and Supervisors-in-Training using live
video and a one-way mirror.
           To all facets of her practice, Dr. Mazzoli brings a systems' perspective learned
during post-doctoral training in Milan, New York, and London. In Italy, she trained
with the creators of the Milan Model of Systemic Family Therapy: Luigi Boscolo, M.D.,
and Gianfranco Cecchin, M.D.
   In addition to her extensive agency experience in New Jersey, Ontario (Canada),
and Nevada, Dr. Mazzoli has conducted successful private practices in New Jersey
and Nevada.
   Prior to becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Dr. Mazzoli taught at
the elementary, high school and college levels in New Jersey. In Nevada, she taught
at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and she served as a Visiting
Assistant Professor at UNLV.
